E-Rate (Telecommunications Act of 1996)
Schools and libraries can receive from 20% to 90% discounts or reimbursements for telecommunication service including basic phone service, long distance service, data lines, and video line; internet access; and internal connections.Public libraries and library systems, and consortia are eligible for discounts. $2.25 billion dollars are available annually nationwide.

1 - (NOW!) Prepare a Technology Plan and Submit It To the Utah State Library

2 - File Form 470; then wait at least 28 days before reaching an agreement or signing a contract with a vendor; you will receive a Receipt Notification Letter acknowledging your application.
