Library-Related Organizations
CLAU - The Children's Literature Association of Utah (CLAU) is a volunteer organization of individuals who have a personal or professional interest in children's literature. The organization's purposes are: to encourage the reading, study, and writing of children's literature; to provide a forum for all points of view and levels of experience in children's books; and to gather and share information about children's literature.
REFORMA - REFORMA de Utah is a chapter of the national REFORMA organization, an affiliate of the American Library Association. It?s purpose is to improve the full spectrum of library and information services for the 22.3 million Latinos residing in the U.S. The chapter, REFORMA de Utah, can help libraries in the following areas: translation assistance, training, collection development and information about vendors of Spanish language materials, programming, outreach to the Spanish speaking and Latino populations (Children, YA?s, Adults), promotional strategies, idea sharing, and recruitment. UALC - The Utah Academic Library Consortium (UALC) was established in 1971 and consists of all public and private academic libraries in accredited institutions of higher education in the State of Utah. The purpose of UALC is to cooperate in continually improving the availability and delivery of library and information services to the higher education community, to the State of Utah, and to partner libraries in Nevada.
UELMA - The mission of the Utah Educational Library Media Association is to provide professional support, leadership and enrichment for school library media educators, associates and programs.
ULA - The mission of the Utah Library Association is to serve the professional development and educational needs of its members and to provide leadership and direction in developing and improving library and information services in the state.
Utah Humanities Council - The Utah Humanities Council provides lifelong learning through programs that explore diverse traditions, values, and ideas. UHC's programs help us understand the past, participate fully in the present, and actively shape the future.
Utah Library Advocacy Network - Utah Library Advocacy Network is an organization committed to advocate for Utah libraries. We strive to form cooperative and collaborative networks of people interested in library related issues.
