This web page is intended to assist Utah public library directors and board members to understand the legal requirements and actions they must take to comply with Sections 9-7-215 and 9-7-216, Utah Code Annotated, and thus qualify and remain eligible to receive state funds. It provides information about the law, reviews required actions, provides an optional checklist for policy review, and provides links to policy development resources.
