Year of Learning

September 2021 | Serving and Including Community Members who are Disabled

Project ENABLE Training

Conversations: Project ENABLE

Project ENABLE is a website dedicated to teaching librarians about disability awareness, disability law and policy, creating an accessible library, planning inclusive programs and instruction, assistive technology in libraries, and targeting autism in libraries.

During the month of September, work through Project ENABLE's modules on disability history and awareness in the library and then join us on September 30th to discuss what you've learned.

12:00 PM – 1:00 PM

Once a month, a knowledgeable moderator will guide a Zoom meetup for ULA members on the current month's topic.

September discussion: What have you learned about the library's role in providing access and services to people with disabilities? What questions do you have? What resources can you share?

All year long, ULA members are invited to participate in an open, ongoing discussion in the #edi channel in ULA's Slack workspace. Ask questions, share thoughts, and record your participation in the monthly Take Action challenge. Join the discussion.
