Congratulations to Helper City Library for earning the Quality Library Award for 2024. The Quality Library Award is presented to Utah libraries that go above and beyond.
In a town with a population of around 2,200, Helper City Library is essential to the community. The library is part of the Utah State Library Beehive Library Consortium, offering access to research databases, Creativebug, Leaning Express, and thousands of audiobooks and ebooks.
Library Director Diana Grant is especially proud to offer their patrons interlibrary loan. “We’re rural so it’s nice to get any book a patron desires,” she says. Interlibrary loan is a vital service for smaller libraries to expand their collection without increasing their budget.
“We’re a tiny library with a big heart,” – Helper City Library Director Diana Grant

This is Helper City Library’s first time winning the Quality Library Award. The library staff and board are proud of their accomplishment, as is Utah State Library Development Program Manager Merrily Cannon. “The Helper Library and staff live up to their name,” she says. “This library is a place dedicated to finding solutions and helping the community thrive. The staff’s dedication to service is an expression of love for the community.”
