As unconnected communities are at risk of accessing critical services, the need to collaboratively address the digital divide has become paramount.
This facilitated workshop is designed for library, museum, nonprofit, and other professionals that interact directly with the public, especially individuals with low levels of digital access or literacy skills. The focus will be to identify new digital inclusion projects and local partnerships as well as reconsider how existing programming, curriculum, and service delivery methods can be adapted. Some topics being covered include device refurbishing partnerships, hotspot and device lending programs, and models for staff and volunteers to deliver remote assistance to patrons and the greater community.
