Do you want to start a book club? Are you already a member of a book club looking for your next great read? Do you want to explore stories that are deeply rooted in the history, landscape, and culture of the Beehive State? Then you need to know about Book Buzz, a fantastic, free program from the Utah State Library.

Book Buzz lends books to book clubs, book groups, libraries, organizations, schools, and community centers. We have more than 800 titles to choose from, so there’s something for everyone! Each book set contains 15 copies of a single title that check out for eight weeks. The best part? We have a dedicated collection of titles focused on Utah authors and themes. It’s the perfect way to get your book club talking about the place we call home.

What’s in the Uniquely Utah collection? 

The Uniquely Utah collection offers a range of books, including non-fiction and fiction titles, all either written by Utah authors or focused on Utah-related themes. With 60 titles to choose from, your book club will find the perfect read! 

Who can use Book Buzz? 

Book Buzz is free for all Utah residents. 

What next? 

To get started, see if your library participates in Book Buzz.  

Yes, my library participates in Book Buzz!  

  1. Read the Book Buzz policy.  
  2. Visit the Book Buzz Title Directory.
  3. Choose the Uniquely Utah genre.  
  4. Check availability in the Book Buzz calendar.  
  5. Request your title through your local library. They will let you know when the set is ready to pick up. 
  6. Return your set to your library by the due date. 

No, my library doesn’t participate in Book Buzz. 

  1. Read the Book Buzz policy.

  3. Choose the Uniquely Utah genre.

  6. Fill out this agreement form
  7. Your set will be mailed directly to you. 
  8. Return the set to the Utah State Library, either by mail (you’ll pay shipping), or drop the books off in-person.
