Program for the Blind & Disabled

Provides Free Library Services for the Blind and Disabled

About Us

The Utah State Library Program for the Blind and Disabled provides free braille and audio books for people who either permanently or temporarily cannot read or use conventional printed materials due to visual or physical limitations, i.e., blindness, a visual disability, a physical inability to hold a book, and/or a print disability. This includes people in private homes, nursing homes, hospitals, schools and other institutions.

If you or someone you know has a visual or physical condition that makes reading regular print difficult, you could qualify for free services through the Utah State Library's Program for the Blind and Disabled and the National Library  Service. With certification, people who have blindness, visual and print disabilities, or physical conditions are eligible to receive library services.
