Congratulations to Tremonton City Library for earning the Quality Library Award for 2024.
The Quality Library Award is presented to Utah libraries that go above and beyond. “This shows that all our efforts to serve the community we live in is important and worthwhile. I love that the staff get this recognition for all their hard work and dedication.” says library director Kim Griffiths.
Tremonton City Library celebrates writing and literacy. “We love to encourage new authors,” says Griffiths. “We have meet and greets, book signings and put their books in our collection. We also do writing workshops.”
This year, they are focused on literacy for all children – including those who are home-schooled. ”We put together literacy packets for checkout, with a parent’s guide to show parents how to help their child learn to read,” explains Griffiths. “We also give away packets we put together from weeded children’s books.”
We’ll feature our 2024 Quality Libraries throughout the year on our blog and social media. Sign up for our newsletter and follow us on Instagram and Facebook.
